Throughout my time at University I would look at Peter Sanders’ work as someone who loves to observe and experience different corners of the world. I was also particularly drawn to his East Africa collection, as a Sudanese creative who hasn’t explored Sudan much.

In June 2025, I attended Peter’s photography retreat to capture it, and then once I had a moment, asked for his advice for photographers. Here is what he said:
